Double Dutch Derby
Security
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This page explains how Double Dutch Derby protects players' information, who is responsible for its security, and how to report a security problem. The Double Dutch Derby Privacy Policy lists everything the Game collects.
Who leads security
Security for Double Dutch Derby is led by Christopher Ian Horne, founder of MAKENZO LLC, which makes the Game. Security reports go to him directly at chris@makenzo.io. MAKENZO's security page is at makenzo.io/security.
How the Game protects your information
- Guest play by default. You play as an anonymous guest. Nothing about who you are is needed to play.
- Accounts are optional and hold no contact details. Players who have confirmed they are 13 or older may create an account with a username they invent and a password. We never ask for an email address, a phone number or a real name. Sign-in is handled by Unity's sign-in service (Unity Gaming Services), not by a server of our own.
- No accounts for children. Players under 13 cannot create an account, are never shown ads, and get an automatically generated leaderboard nickname.
- Sensitive actions run on the server. Leaderboard scores, display names, reports of bad names and account deletion are handled by Unity Cloud Code, the server-side part of the Game. Display names are screened for inappropriate words.
- Encryption. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers.
- Your age answer stays on your phone. What you enter on the age screen is not kept. The age-group markers the Game stores never leave your device.
- Crash reports carry no personal details. When the Game crashes, the report uses a random ID for that installation, not your player ID or advertising ID. Reports are stored in the United States and deleted after 90 days.
- Payments never reach us. Apple or Google processes the one purchase, Remove Ads. We never see your payment card, and a grown-up check appears before the purchase.
- You can delete everything. Settings → Account → Delete Account (or Delete My Data for guests) removes the account, its cloud save, its leaderboard entry and local progress. The Delete Your Account page has the steps.
