Makenzo Games
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
MAKENZO ("Makenzo Games," "we," "us," "our") makes small mobile games. This policy covers the makenzogames.com website and sets the baseline for every game we publish. Each game also has its own privacy policy page that lists exactly what that game collects and which service providers it uses. Where a game's policy is more specific than this one, the game's policy applies to that game.
Our games
- Double Dutch Derby — see the Double Dutch Derby privacy policy.
- Wobble Derby — not yet released. A policy page will be published before launch.
The short version
- Our games are made for a general audience that includes children under 13, so we design them to follow children's-privacy rules (COPPA in the United States and GDPR-K in the EU/UK).
- We do not show personalized or targeted ads in our games. Any ads are contextual (non-personalized) only.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Real-money purchases are handled by Apple or Google — we never see your payment card, and a parental gate ("grown-up check") appears before any purchase.
- You can play our games as an anonymous guest by default.
This website
The makenzogames.com website collects very little:
- Launch notifications (for parents and adults). Some game pages offer a "Notify me" form. If you enter your email address, it is sent to our newsletter provider, Buttondown, which emails you a confirmation and then, once confirmed, tells you when the game launches. We use the address for nothing else and do not share it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at the address below to be removed. This form is intended for parents and adults; children should ask a parent to sign up.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard connection information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
In our games
The details differ by game and are listed on each game's privacy page. In general, our games may use:
- An anonymous player ID and saved game progress, so your progress can be restored across sessions and devices.
- Optional features you choose to turn on, such as a public display name for leaderboards or linking a social sign-in account.
- Purchase confirmations from Apple or Google (never payment-card details).
- Non-personalized ads delivered through an ad mediation provider, which may process limited technical data (such as device type, coarse region, and anti-fraud signals) to deliver ads and prevent abuse — not to build advertising profiles.
- Basic device and connection information needed to operate online features and keep the service secure.
Our games do not ask for the iOS "App Tracking Transparency" permission, because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
We collect only the minimum information needed to run each game, and we use persistent identifiers solely to support internal operations, such as saving progress, delivering non-personalized ads and capping their frequency, preventing fraud, and keeping the service secure. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or to track children across other apps or websites. Where an optional feature would collect personal information from a child beyond what internal operations require, we obtain verifiable parental consent first or restrict the feature for that user. We do not sell children's personal information.
Service providers
Depending on the game and feature, we work with:
- Cloudflare — website hosting.
- Buttondown — stores launch-notification email addresses and sends the confirmation and launch emails.
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services) — authentication, cloud save, leaderboards, and ad mediation.
- Ad networks connected through our ad mediation provider — to serve non-personalized ads.
- Apple / Google — to process purchases and, if you choose, social sign-in.
We require these providers to handle data appropriately, and we do not sell personal information. Data may be stored in the United States or other countries where these providers operate. We keep data only as long as needed to provide our games and services.
Your choices and rights
- Play anonymously — our games can be played as a guest without providing personal details.
- Access or delete your data — contact us to request access to, or deletion of, data associated with you or your child. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights.
- Parents and guardians may review the personal information collected from their child, request its deletion, or refuse further collection. To make a request, contact us with enough detail to locate the account (for example, the player ID shown on the game's account screen). We will verify the request and respond within the time required by law.
- You can remove locally stored game data by deleting the app.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice on this page or within the affected game.
